Cheung Chau Island (Hong Kong)

Going to Cheung Chau from Hong Kong ferry pier was very easy! The ferry ride can be paid using the Octopus card and costs about 20HKD. The ferry to Cheung Chau is at pier number 5, it is located behind the IFC building, towards the left when facing the piers.

Cheung Chau is definitely a great island to visit with a clean nice beach (albeit a little small), and many good food!

The ferry timing is pretty frequent! It takes only 30-45 minutes to get there!

The view from the ferry, on the way to Cheung Chau.

Cheung Chau was full of fishing boats! There were also a few temples on the island. If you can cycle, it'll be great to cycle on the island while sightseeing!

The 'ping an' bun is actually the island's 'mascot' and its merchandise can be found everywhere!

These mini egg tarts are yummy, and they are served fresh!

The famous snacks were the 'fish eggs' (魚蛋) Actually they are just like fish balls, but there are many flavors of toppings to choose from!

This is definitely the stall to get your fish eggs from! Try the cheese ones, they are super yummy! The stall is located at the cross junction near the beach!

I was lucky to find a really yummy dessert stall! It serves really nice mango milk pudding!

There are several handicraft stores in Cheung Chau too, do check them out for interesting handicraft, but they are not cheap!
